If you have version 8, download this free update:

If you do not have MillWrite, or want to reinstall it, or if your version is older than 8.0013, download the complete setup file here.

Notes:

• Google and Microsoft don't know what IdeaPlasma is, so you will probably get a complaint that it cannot scan for viruses. Ignore that and select Download Anyway. If you get any additional warnings, look for an option to keep it, save it, or run it.

• MillWrite requires Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11.

• If you have trouble with the update:

Windows 7, 8, and 10 have a lot of confusing security options that can prevent the update from downloading, or, if you can download it, it may not run. Even worse, the update might run but not overwrite some of the MillWrite files, which will cause some of MillWrite's menus and messages to be messed up.

If you have trouble updating, open up the MillWrite folder, and delete these 3 files:

• MillWrite_8.exe
• MW_IMAGE.Mw8
• MW_MENUs.English.mw8   <-- this is in the Settings folder

Then run the update again.
