17 February 2005 Larry Silverstein, lease-holder of the twin towers and owner of WTC 7, told PBS about the demolition of his 47-story building at 5:25 p.m. on 9/11: "I remember getting a call from the uh, fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were going to be able to contain the fire. And he said you know we've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it. And they made that decision to pull, then we watched the building... collapse."
